Jobs for Unemployed Veterans

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, just over 7,000 -- 4.5 percent of the 164,000 veterans in Oklahoma's work force -- are unemployed. But there's another 152,000 veterans who aren't considered in the work force, which means they're either not looking for jobs, or have given up looking. "I would like to see us do better," said State Senator Frank Simpson, "because I think military people bring some unique skills with them that maybe their civilian counterparts don't have."

On July 7, 2017, approximately 400 participants came out to the Xylem Innovation Official Opening in Montecchio Maggiore, Italy. A Xylem Watermark section of the opening was managed by Xylem volunteers, who were available all evening to answer questions, collect donations and raise awareness of Xylem Watermark.

Tetra Tech has been leading a Power Africa Initiative project since 2014, making tangible improvements in people’s lives by taking a different approach to traditional assistance in developing countries. Tetra Tech is the prime contractor on the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) $140 million Power Africa Transactions and Reforms Project (PATRP), which is providing technical assistance and project transaction services to more than 25 countries. The Fischer sculpture was transported across the country and erected with grants from the Green Mountain Energy Sun Club and the New Rochelle Industrial Development Agency (IDA). Ridesharing Rescues Patients from Missed Medical Appointments

Every year, approximately 3.6 million Americans miss or delay medical appointments because they don’t have access to reliable transportation. Minorities, people with low incomes, and those with chronic illnesses are affected disproportionately. These cancelations not only affect the individual missing their appointment - leading to untreated symptoms - but can also cause longer wait times and rushed appointments for other patients. In an effort to address the issue, two rideshare companies are using their assets to provide reliable transportation to those in need.
