Sands China Care Ambassadors Invite Macau Down Syndrome Association for an Afternoon of Fun with DreamWorks

A group of 35 Sands China Care Ambassadors spent an afternoon with 40 children and their parents from the Macau Down Syndrome Association, taking them on an “Amazing Race” through several DreamWorks Experience-themed adventures at Sands Cotai Central and The Venetian Macao. The day ended with a visit to Ice World.

Bacardi Makes Miami Neighborhood Cooler with Tree Planting at Local Park

Time spent among trees is time never wasted, and this could not be truer for Bacardi employees in the United States. For the third year in a row, a team of Bacardi employees from its regional headquarters office in Coral Gables, Fla., planted 26 oak and mahogany trees in partnership with the American Forests and Neat Streets Miami/Million Trees Miami at Amelia Earhart Park, part of the Miami-Dade Parks and Recreation System.

At the Hormel Foods 125th anniversary celebration last July, Jim Snee, now the company’s president and CEO, invited a special guest onto the stage. Alondra is a tiny 12-year-old girl in tidy long black braids, wearing a traditional embroidered blouse and skirt. It was Alondra’s first time outside of her village of San Jerónimo Chuaxan, Guatemala. During the 2,500-mile trip to Austin, Minnesota, she’d had her first rides on an airplane, elevator and escalator. But Alondra’s journey from her starting point to a world of new possibilities was much longer than that.

Detroit Eastside Community Collaborative, which has helped establish miles of new bike lanes throughout the city, provided safety instruction to the new riders.

Local talents and artists showcased their creativity in mural art at selected Starbucks stores in Malaysia this week, celebrating the newly launched campaign "Show Your Flavor", which focuses on self-expression through color this summer.
