Cascale shares updates on its efforts to align the industry on a common language to describe sustainability performance to reduce duplication and costs for the whole value chain, provide insights and more resources for improvements, and the opportunity to communicate in a comparable and consistent way. 

In collaboration with members, Cascale developed the Higg Index, a suite of five tools to assess the social and environmental performance of the value chain and the environmental impacts of products. These are the Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM), Higg Facility Social & Labor Module (FSLM), Higg Brand & Retail Module (BRM), Higg Materials Sustainability Index (MSI), and Higg Product Module (PM).
