SC Johnson Recognized for Environmental Leadership at 7th Annual Climate Leadership Conference

SC Johnson today announced it has received a Climate Leadership Award for Excellence in Greenhouse Gas Management (GHG) Goal Setting. The company has set an aggressive goal of further reducing GHG emissions 15 percent by 2020 from the base set in 2015. This could result in a reduction of more than 15,000 metric tons of emissions over five years.

10 Schools Named Finalists in the $2 Million* Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest for Using STEAM to Improve Their Communities

Today, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. announced the 10 national finalists in the 8th annual Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest, a nationwide competition that challenges students in grades 6-12 to creatively use STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) skills to address real-world issues and inspire change in their local communities. The 10 national finalists in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest will receive a minimum of $50,000* in Samsung technology for their school and a trip to the final pitch event in New York City.

Welltower Announces Stock Ticker Change to “WELL”

Welltower Inc. (NYSE:WELL) today announced the New York Stock Exchange has approved a change of its stock trading ticker symbol to “WELL,” effective with the opening of trading today. The previous trading ticker symbol was “HCN.” In celebration of this milestone, Thomas J. DeRosa, chief executive officer, will ring the Opening Bell® of the NYSE alongside Chris Winkle, CEO of Sunrise Senior Living, and representatives of three premier institutions focused on meeting the health and wellness needs of the greater New York metropolitan region: NewYork-Presbyterian, Northwell Health and Citymeals on Wheels. Peninsula Clean Energy's ECO100 Now Green-e Certified

As of 2018 Peninsula Clean Energy's (PCE's) ECO100 option is now certified by Green-e Energy, the leading renewable energy certification and verification program in North America administered by the nonprofit Center for Resource Solutions (CRS). Fourteen cities, the County of San Mateo, and the social media company Facebook have chosen to power their operations with PCE's 100% renewable electricity product, which is available to all San Mateo County residents and businesses.

General Motors today announced an expansion of its industry-leading landfill-free program as all of the company’s manufacturing plants in Canada, Mexico and South America now recycle, reuse or convert to energy all waste from daily operations. With the addition of 27 newly certified facilities, General Motors has 142 manufacturing and non-manufacturing landfill-free facilities globally — more than any other automaker.
