PepsiCo Named One of the Top Companies Worldwide for Millennial Women

At PepsiCo, we know our teams are stronger when all voices are heard at the table, which is why we’re committed to attracting and retaining the next generation of female leaders. And now, in recognition of  our efforts, we’ve been named one of the Top 1,000 Companies Worldwide for Millennial Women in 2018 – and given honoree recognition among 150 companies – by Mogul, an online platform that enables women around the globe to connect, share information and learn from each other. 

Mogul’s list is based on commitment and progress toward women’s initiatives, women in leadership, workplace policies, workplace culture and overall diversity and inclusion. Their platform reaches 18 million millennial women across 196 countries and more than 34,000 cities each week, enabling us to get the word out about our commitment to gender equality and the opportunities we provide for women to launch and advance their careers at PepsiCo.

Sheila Stygar, vice president, Talent Acquisition, says that one of the ways we’re helping women to advance their careers is through an initiative called Ready to Return. “It’s a 10-week paid program designed for experienced professionals looking to re-enter the workforce after taking a career break to care for a loved one,” says Sheila. The program launched last year in the U.S. and is scheduled for expansion into the U.K. and Brazil this year.

“We also are partnering with STEMconnector®’s Million Women Mentors,” notes Umran Beba, global diversity, engagement and talent officer. ”It’s an initiative that supports the engagement of millions of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) mentors to increase the interest and confidence of girls and women to pursue and succeed in STEM programs and careers,” says Umran.

Additionally, as part of our Performance with Purpose agenda, we have set a target to achieve gender parity in management roles by 2025, as well as achieve pay equity in line with our commitment to the White House Equal Pay Pledge.
