Sanofi Culture of Employee Engagement

There is now a very large amount of research available, showing that companies that regard diversity and inclusion (D&I) as an integral part of their culture and a necessary part of how they deliver their business strategy enjoy higher levels of engagement from their employees. This focus on inclusion allows companies to create an environment where employees feel comfortable and confident to be themselves and to bring their full potential and talent to their work. This is the kind of environment that we strive for at Sanofi – and the kind of environment that our Employee Resource Groups (or ERGs for short) have played a big part in helping us to create and are continuing to help us improve and enhance.

AIDA students Venture Out to Sea with the Sail Training Ship “Großherzogin Elisabeth”

On August 16, 2015, twenty-four AIDA Cruises students set sail for the first time from Bremerhaven with the sail training ship “Großherzogin Elisabeth.” The training trip for the 24 students of nautical science, ship operation engineering and electrical engineering for ships ended on September 4, 2015, in Rostock. Over some 21 days, the future mariners will complete their basic nautical training on the North and Baltic Sea before their first assignment onboard the AIDA fleet. In addition to the AIDA Cruises students, 18 cadets from Carnival UK are participating in this training trip once again.

Pro Bono Perspectives, released today, showcases a cross-sector, cross-discipline cohort of individuals who have used skills-based volunteering to strengthen the capacity and effectiveness of nonprofit organizations delivering critical social services.

Adopting the Iron Belle Trail

Michigan is known as the trail state because of its 12,000 miles of recreational trails. The state kicks of Trails Week on Saturday, September 19. The celebration is special one this year with the opening of the newly developed Iron Belle Trail – a 2,000 mile state-wide looped trail, half of which is a hiking trail and the other half a cycling trail.

It’s also a special opening because TransCanada has committed to being the first corporate sponsor of the trail.
