FPT Industrial Promotes the Importance of Sustainability Through Its Commitment to Art

(NYSE: CNHI /MI: CNHI), and a leader in the powertrain sector, is the Main Sponsor of Padiglione Italia at Biennale Arte 2019 and will present, in Venice, a large installation by American artist Christian Holstad who, invited by Milovan Farronato, has conceived an artwork inspired by the theme of protecting the marine environment from plastic waste. The work, entitled Consider yourself as a guest (Cornucopia), will be displayed at the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, Italy, from 9 to 11 May 2019 on the banks of the Canal Grande and, from 12 May to 12 June 2019, in the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice quadrangle.

Our Commitment to Address Homelessness in Rome

In Europe, homelessness is on the rise. Countries across the continent have seen large increases in the number of people who are homeless. Addressing homelessness – and helping those in need – is an imperative for all of us, especially those of us who have the ability to make a difference. At Cisco, we take that imperative close to heart – taking on big challenges and doing what we can to make an impact are core to who we are. To further our efforts in making an impact, I am proud that this week we are announcing a commitment of $1 million over four years to support a Housing First pilot in Rome with Comunità di Sant’Egidio, an organization that for 50 years has addressed poverty in Italy and in other countries around the world.

Flash Report: 86% of S&P 500 Index® Companies Publish Sustainability / Responsibility Reports in 2018

G&A Institute has analyzed index companies’ sustainability reporting activities since 2011. “Sustainability reporting” rose dramatically from 2011, when roughly 20% of companies published reports, to 72% just three years later in 2013. From 2013 to 2017, the frequency of reporting increased each year, now inching up to 86% of companies reporting in 2018.

Williams at the Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry’s annual PaperCon in May. Williams was named Executive of the Year in recognition of his leadership, his contributions to the pulp and paper industry, and his management excellence. While at the conference, Williams also spoke on an executive panel about sustainability and the ongoing trend toward a bio-based economy.

$13M Apartment Complex Breaks Ground in Downtown Jackson

The $13 million development, called The 200, includes plans for 86 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments on four floors. It’s on pace to open in spring 2021, said Kevin Thomson of Jackson Downtown Partners, developer of the complex.

The city is giving over the land for $1 and Consumers Energy is incorporating the project into its Jackson Smart Energy District.

Plans for complex include solar panels on the roof and energy efficiencies throughout.
