Last week, JetBlue sponsored the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) Annual Conference and Career Expo held in Orlando. JetBlue has worked with OBAP for several years to help diversify the aviation industry and provide access to those from traditionally under-represented communities to the variety of careers within the industry.

More children than ever need essential tools (like No. 2 pencils, loose-leaf paper, and crayons) to succeed in school. A Gift For Teaching is committed to providing these students with a head start for achievement by equipping them with school supplies.
Project Lead The Way (PLTW), a national nonprofit organization that provides transformative educational experiences for K-12 students and teachers, announced today that 26 rural Illinois middle and high schools will begin new computer science, engineering and biomedical science-focused programs this school year, thanks to $1 million in multi-year grant funding made possible by Astellas USA Foundation.
The school has been implementing new technology such as Chromebooks for each student and new robotics. One of the new additions to the elementary is the Qualcomm inspired Thinkabit Lab. There are only two Thinkabit labs in the entire country and the school is working over the summer to have their inspired lab ready for the school year.
Disney's Hour of Code tutorials, created in close collaboration with code.org, aim to inspire children of all ages to learn the basics of coding in a fun and engaging way. Since 2014, more than 42 million students in over 180 countries have tried a Disney Hour of Code tutorial. In 2016, Disney and code.org's Moana Hour of Code tutorial was recognized with a Gold Halo Award for Best Education Campaign and a Silver Award in the category of Best Digital Campaign.
