As it turns out, by including “short-lived climate pollutants” (SLCPs) in your company’s Climate Action Plan, you can extend these benefits even further. This post takes a closer look at the importance of SLCPs and why they should matter to you.

While the pay gap (for equal work) is closing, the promotion gap isn’t, leaving women making 76 cents on the dollar compared to men. And the gender gap isn’t expected to close for another 170 years. That’s too long to wait!

In a turbulent economy with an uncertain job market, a career in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) remains one of the most reliable paths to a rich, rewarding career. In fact, computer and IT jobs in the US are projected to grow 12 percent by 2024, faster than the average for all other occupations. But, as hard as it may be to believe, the U.S. Department of Labor projects that there won’t be enough qualified students to meet the demand – with more than 1 million computing job openings alone projected by 2024.
Carol Malnati believes organizations that leverage gender diversity out-perform and out-innovate. It was the 1980’s and few women ventured into the university’s engineering buildings – let alone declare it as a major. At that point, I wanted to be someone that encouraged young women to get involved in math, science, and engineering.” Today, she’s doing just that.
