The Big Picture of Oil and Our Troubles by Leif Wenar

Introduction to Leif Wenar's speech (January 27th) based on his book, Blood Oil: Tyrants, Violence, and the Rules That Run the World. He sees a great opportunity for America, now, to stop buying stolen oil and other natural resources. We can lead the world by putting an end to the bad, old rule 'might makes right' in terms of oil and natural resources. All quite doable and with so many of the countries in the "Arc of Oil" in chaos and increasingly controlled by terrorists now is the time to act on principle, practice what we preach, and stop buying stolen oil. He makes a strong, inspirational argument for changing old, dysfunctional rules and living by our principles when it comes to oil and other natural resources.

Republic Earns High Marks on Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s Corporate Equality Index

Republic Services, Inc. (NYSE: RSG) earned a score of 80 out of 100 on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality. The Human Rights Campaign Foundation administers the annual scorecard. This was the first year Republic participated with the Corporate Equality Index.

Goldcorp continue de soutenir les efforts de la Fondation des maladies du cœur et de l’AVC pour promouvoir la sensibilisation à l’AVC, et la prévention et le traitement de l’AVC dans les communautés entourant les mines Red Lake, Porcupine et Musselwhite en Ontario, et la mine Éléonore au Québec. Heart & Stroke Foundation and Goldcorp Bring Life-saving Programs to Remote Communities

Goldcorp continues to support efforts by the Heart and Stroke Foundation (HSF) to promote stroke awareness, prevention and treatment in communities surrounding the company’s Red Lake, Porcupine and Musselwhite mines in Ontario and Éléonore mine in Quebec. In 2014 Goldcorp pledged $605,000 towards programs that support vital regional care and health professional training.
