A New Day: Aramark Begins Concessions Operations at Yosemite National Park

Yosemite Hospitality, LLC, a subsidiary of Aramark (NYSE: ARMK), the award-winning food and hospitality partner for national and state parks, this week marked its first days as the new concessioner at Yosemite National Park. Last summer the National Park Service awarded Aramark the 15-year contract to manage Yosemite’s hospitality programs encompassing lodging, food & beverage, retail, recreational and transportation services.

The Television Club at Bishop Kearney High School recently received a state-of-the-art renovation of its studio thanks to 21st Century Fox. The company purchased new equipment for the school's student-run news station, WBKS, and professionals from Fox 5 trained the students on how to operate it. The initiative comes as part of the company's commitment to support and develop the next generation of journalists and storytellers. The Brooklyn-based high school's daily news broadcasts are much improved since the club started more than 20 years ago, and this new equipment will enhance their capabilities even further. The club has become a big draw for incoming students.

Post-Paris: There is no Denying Clean Energy Future

On February 9, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling to pause implementation of the Clean Power Plan while the lower court reviews the legality of the regulations. The “stay” of the rule means that the EPA may not enforce the Clean Power Plan pending the resolution of the case on the merits. While the ultimate legal outcome is unclear at this point, what is very clear is that the pace and scale of the transition to a thriving, clean economy is now undeniable, irresistible, and inevitable.
