2018 proved to be an active year in Corporate Social Responsibility with issues related to sustainability, globalization, advocacy on social issues and multiple natural disasters in the forefront.

Hundreds of people came together to enjoy a hot meal on Christmas Eve – that they may not otherwise have had this holiday. The Christmas Eve feast was meant to warm the hearts of those in need. This meal is provided by the Salvation Army and Safeway.

Albertsons "Santa Bucks" campaign has made a significant impact on the Treasure Valley yet again.

Arrow Electronics employees across the Americas donated time, money and food to local food banks in honor of International Volunteer Day on Dec. 5, marking the company’s largest community engagement effort to date.

On Tues., Nov. 20 Roadrunner Food Bank will hold a special holiday mobile food pantry distribution to provide food to low-income families and their children right before the Thanksgiving. The distribution will take place at the Cesar Chavez Community Center located at 7505 Kathryn Ave SE starting at 3 pm. It is estimated that more than 400 families will be provided food to take home and receive help with additional services also such as: assistance applying for SNAP (food stamp) benefits, flu shots and other health screenings, Medicare and Medicaid registration, information about housing services, adult literacy help and other services assisting low-income and at-risk people in the community.

Wells Fargo is doubling as a food bank this holiday season in a joint effort with Feeding America to fight hunger. The Wells Fargo Holiday Food Bank program, now in its second year, allows people to donate both food and money to local food banks nationwide through Wells Fargo. Twenty-one Indiana nonprofit organizations are receiving $315,000 in Duke Energy Foundation grants to make a difference in their communities. Their projects range from a holiday food drive for the needy in Howard County to Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra concerts for elementary students from around the state.
