To begin my career in an office that wants nothing more than to see me succeed is something I do not take for granted. The women of Tetra Tech redefine what it means to be a role model in the workplace and serve as strong examples of the importance of female leadership in today’s international development field.

Today, consumers increasingly expect companies to address social justice issues, with nearly nine-in-ten (87%) citing racial equality as an issue they would like companies to prioritize. Some companies have tried to shed light on the topic, but with little understanding of the community, their efforts backfired. However, one company with a longstanding history of support for racial equality recently dared to share a bold message.

Fox Inclusion recently announced writer Keely MacDonald has received a script development deal from Fox Broadcasting Company after being named this year’s Fox Writers Lab Fellow. MacDonald was chosen from a group of 13 experienced finalists at the Fox Writers Lab, a 14-week program hosted by Fox Inclusion that gives its finalists direct access to Fox writers, directors, and executives to further their screenwriting skills on the Fox Lot in Los Angeles.

Jacquie Ryan wasn’t sure what she wanted to do after she graduated university with a degree in English and Film Studies, so she headed to Banff to coach skiing. The short-term job set her on a path to a long-term career, and she’s continued to let her passions guide her profession ever since.

Today, The UPS Foundation, the philanthropic arm of UPS (NYSE: UPS), announced it will award more than $7.7 million in global diversity and inclusion grants to 39 organizations. The grants will support economic empowerment, initiatives to empower women and girls, and, workplace inclusion.

As the senior vice president of community investment at Comcast Corp. and president of the Comcast Foundation, Wilson-Scott leads the company’s social initiatives. In her role, she meets with various leaders in Philadelphia to learn what support Comcast can provide and often travels to NBCUniversal’s offices and studios nationwide.
