Last week seven of our sites earned new certifications from the Wildlife Habitat Council for establishing wildlife habitats on corporate lands and 12 earned recertification, having shown continuous growth of their habitats and environmental education programs.
Salmon farmers in British Columbia are committed to growing the world's best fish and are continually improving their environmental practices. As part of their commitment to sustainability, members of the BC Salmon Farmers Association raising Atlantic Salmon in British Columbia are striving to become 100% certified by the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) by 2020 – a certification that is currently only held by 66 salmon farms around the world.
Thirteen Freeport-McMoRan mining sites are certified by the Wildlife Habitat Council’s (WHC) Wildlife at Work program, which recognizes activities that create, conserve and restore wildlife habitat on corporate lands, and six sites were certified by the WHC Corporate Lands for Learning program, which recognizes activities to promote environmental education and outreach initiatives in local communities. PT Freeport Indonesia received the prestigious Corporate Lands for Learning of the Year award for outstanding conservation education, stewardship and voluntary employee efforts.

21st Century Fox and the National Geographic Society have completed the transaction to form National Geographic Partners, a new media company combining the National Geographic television channels with the remainder of the Society's commercial assets, including National Geographic magazine, National Geographic Studios, and more.
