More than 400 Team Members from BJ's Wholesale Club recently spent an afternoon painting, landscaping and interacting with seniors at the Osceola Council on Aging in Kissimmee, FL. As the largest social services organization in Osceola County, the nonprofit provides an array of programs to enable independence and self-sufficiency for seniors, disabled adults, the disadvantaged and families in poverty.

BJ's gave the Council's campus a major facelift by painting the exterior and interior of the building, which included a 150-ft. mural! The group also landscaped, cleaned up courtyards and buiilt a gazebo and rocking chairs. In addition, through the nonprofit's Meals on Wheels program, Team Members visited homebound seniors to deliver dinner and also packed 450 bags of groceries for the Council's food pantry.

The volunteer effort, held during BJ’s annual leadership conference, was an opportunity to connect Team Members from across the company's 15-state footrprint with a local organization that shares in BJ's goal of making its communities stronger, safer and more self-sufficient.
