Activating With Purpose: How Brands Too Can Make a Difference for Women

With all of this focus on women and gender equality continuing to dominate conversations in the media, it’s no surprise that consumers are taking notice – something that companies should not take lightly as the majority of Americans (76 percent) say they would boycott a company based on corporate values. Even more notable, is that more than eighty percent (84 percent) rank women’s rights as one of the most pressing issues they expect companies to address. VMware is One of Thomson Reuters Top 100 Global Technology Leaders

VMware has been recognized in Thomson Reuters inaugural list of Top 100 Global Technology Leaders for 2018! The list profiles the most operationally sound and financially successful technology organizations in the world. This rounds off a great week, since VMware was also honored by Great Place to Work and Fortune on their 2018 Best Workplaces in Technology list where we moved up two spots from last year to our number 9 ranking in 2018.

PNC Financial Services Included in Bloomberg’s First Sector-neutral Gender-Equality Index

PNC Financial Services announced today that it is one of over 100 companies from ten sectors to join the inaugural 2018 Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI). Launched January 22, 2018, the reference index measures gender equality across internal company statistics, employee policies, external community support and engagement and gender-conscious product offerings.

Lessons Learned from Restaurant Icon Dave Thomas

It’s difficult to quantify the number of lives that Dave Thomas touched throughout his 69 years of life. From our 6,500 restaurants who employ around 30 employees per restaurant per year, combined with the thousands of children in the foster care system who have been paired with a Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Recruiter, plus all the restaurant support center employees, contractors, suppliers and agencies that serve to support the Wendy’s restaurants…the number must be in the billions and counting.
