Next month, Time Warner Cable will open its 20th Learning Lab at the Chinese-American Planning Council in Flushing, Queens. Our Learning Lab initiative provides underserved New York City residents with access to free WiFi and state of the art computers, through partnering with local nonprofits.

Dallas Burtraw is one of the nation’s foremost experts on environmental regulation in the electricity sector. For two decades, he has worked on creating a more efficient and politically rational method for controlling air pollution. He also studies electricity restructuring, competition, and economic deregulation. He is particularly interested in incentive-based approaches for environmental regulation, the most notable of which is a tradable permit system, and recently has studied ways to introduce greater cost-effectiveness into regulation under the Clean Air Act

UPS Invests $100 Million in Compressed Natural Gas, CNG Vehicles and Related Infrastructure

UPS (NYSE:UPS) today announced plans to build an additional 12 compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations and add 380 new CNG tractors to its growing alternative fuel and advanced technology fleet. The CNG fueling stations and vehicle purchases totaling $100 million are part of UPS’s ongoing commitment to diversify its fuel sources and reduce its environmental impact.
