Arbor Day Foundation and BJ’s Charitable Foundation to Plant a Half Million Trees by End of Spring
The Arbor Day Foundation is planting a half million trees in our nation’s forests by the end of spring of 2016 thanks to the continued support of BJ’s Wholesale Club and BJ’s Charitable Foundation. In 2013, BJ’s committed one million dollars to plant more than one million trees in forests of need and communities devastated by natural disasters by the year 2020.

Baxter-Supported Community Partnership in India Launches Mobile Health Application to Expand Healthcare for Women and Children
Baxter International Inc. (NYSE: BAX) and the Baxter International Foundation, the company’s philanthropic arm, continued to advance access to healthcare through a recent collaboration with World Vision India to develop a mobile health application. In addition, Baxter and its foundation made financial and in-kind donations valued at nearly $25 million in 2015 to create lasting social, environmental and economic value for all stakeholders, including the communities in which its employees live and work.

Republic Services Volunteers at Anaheim Health Fair Adding a Fun Environmental Education Element to the Event
We were proud to work, live, and raise families in the areas we serve. This past weekend we joined hundreds of volunteers at the 10th Annual Anaheim Health Fair to show our commitment to our community. As a sponsor of the two-day event, we hosted a booth to help residents pass the time as they waited to see the doctor and/or the dentist.

Siemens and Airbus Sign Long-Term Cooperation Agreement in the Field of Hybrid Electric Propulsion Systems
Airbus Group and Siemens have signed a collaboration agreement in the field of hybrid electric propulsion. In doing so, the Chief Executive Officers (CEO) of both companies, Tom Enders and Joe Kaeser, have launched a major joint project towards the electrification of aviation with the goal of demonstrating the technical feasibility of various hybrid/electric propulsion systems by 2020.

Republic Celebrates Earth Day in St. Louis by Expanding Compressed Natural Gas-Powered Fleet
Republic Services announced today the addition of four Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) solid waste collection trucks to its fleet serving customers throughout metropolitan St. Louis. The CNG trucks replace older diesel-powered trucks, and bring the total number of natural gas vehicles operated by Republic in metropolitan St. Louis to 107.
