Sodexo Partners With ANA Enterprise to Transform the Health and Wellness of America’s 3.6 Million Nurses

The ANA Enterprise today announced Sodexo has joined the Healthy Nurse, Healthy Nation™ (HNHN) Grand Challenge as a major partner in support of this transformative initiative. The ANA Enterprise is the organizing platform of the American Nurses Association (ANA), the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), and the American Nurses Foundation. Sodexo Healthcare in North America provides Quality of Life Services in Facilities Management, Environmental Services, Clinical Technology Management and Food & Nutrition at 1,200 hospitals in the United States and Canada. Sodexo’s multi-million dollar contribution to the American Nurses Foundation is in direct support of the ANA Enterprise’s HNHN Grand Challenge.

Sodexo Announces Its Mindful Soup-er Hero! Winner From Portland, OR, Receives Free Lunch for One Year

Sodexo, world leader of quality-of-life services, is thrilled to announce that Shawn Daley is the winner of Make It Mindful. Shawn, an administrator at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, created a delicious and healthy 3 Cs (Chicken, Cabbage & Chickpea) Soup that will be featured in Sodexo cafés across the country today through February 4. In addition to seeing his winning soup on the menu, Shawn will receive free lunch for one year.

World Agroforestry Centre Publishes a Climate Change Atlas for Central America

The World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) in collaboration with Bioversity International and The Tropical Agricultural Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE) today published an Atlas titled ‘Suitability of key Central American agroforestry species under future climates’. The Atlas presents current and future suitability maps for 54 species that are commonly used as shade in agroforestry systems in Central America.

Peru’s Integrated Approach to Nationally Determined Contributions Can Boost Agroforestry’s Role in Fighting Climate Change

Peru’s Minister of Environment, Elsa Galarza, at a side event co-hosted by the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) at this year’s United Nations’ climate talks in Bonn, Germany, presented the country’s innovative, multi-sectoral and multi-stakeholder approach to its NDCs supported by a Framework Law on Climate Change that is pending approval.
