America’s obesity epidemic won’t be solved by any single agency, non-profit, or even a progressive company like Nestlé USA. We understand that no one-size-fits-all solution exists, yet realize we can play an important part in moving the needle on obesity.
Nestlé USA is taking deliberate steps to help tackle this public health crisis with our products, from a relentless focus on reducing sugar, sodium, and saturated fat in our foods and beverages, to educating consumers on making healthier choices. Because our products have such significant reach — 97% of American consumers have a Nestlé product in their home — we believe this reformulation work can help improve health outcomes.

Volunteering for a non-profit organization, donating your time and talents for a cause, is incredibly rewarding and makes you feel good. Volunteering also brings people together. This special day, which fosters camaraderie and teamwork and builds on Shire's longstanding tradition of giving back to communities where employees live and work, is a cornerstone of our Responsibility commitment and an integral component of our employee and community engagement program.
The Bacardi rum plant was back up and running less than two weeks after Maria. Good news for the place that produces 80 percent of Bacardi's rum and employs 300 people. The company has paid its employees throughout hurricane recovery.

Each year, Give Back and Get Down focuses its attention on one or two specific causes—last year, we gave back to individuals and families affected by domestic violence, and partnered with Safe Horizon and Sanctuary for Families.
This year’s focus: transforming the lives of underserved youth.
