FCA US LLC was named Corporation of the Year at the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council’s 33rd annual Ambassadors Championing Excellence Awards, honoring excellence and ongoing commitment to working with and helping to develop and mentor minority business enterprises. Kevin Bell, Head of Diversity Supplier Development at FCA US, also received the Jethro Joseph Advocate of the Year Award.

M&S Wants Us to Get Active for 30 Minutes a Day to Help Cut the Risks pf Breast Cancer

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), and UK high-street retailer M&S has launched a campaign, ‘Spark Something Good,’ by teaming up with seven women, all of whom have been affected by breast cancer, to help get customers active to prevent the disease. During this month, the store will be donating 10 per cent of all women’s fitness clothing and sports bra sales to the charity, Breast Cancer Now.

Seattle: First City in the U.S to Incentivize Living Buildings with Pilot Program

On October 7, Seattle Mayor Ed Murray signed legislation to continue the Living Building Pilot Program until 2025. The updated Living Building program legislation expands on a pilot program started in 2009 and increases the number of buildings that can participate to twenty. There are new provisions and adjustments in the legislation that align better with city and state laws, as well as streamline building codes to incentivize developers on adopting regenerative building practices.
