Bypassing work plans and coffee runs, the Mini-Internship is a shortcut to one of the key benefits of a traditional program – access to industry leaders. Hosted at Samsung 837, a digital playground in the heart of the Meatpacking District, the series will feature speakers like Academy Award-winning director Ang Lee, Iron Chef David Burke and NBC’s Today show host Billy Bush.

The facility constructed a world-class chip conveyor that stretches from the Ohio River waterfront all the way to the mill’s gates. The technology moves wood chips from barges using the Mississippi River, Ohio River, and Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, all the way across a mile-long (1.6 km) chip conveyor to mill staging areas.

LGBTQ youth face higher rates of bullying, discrimination, and homelessness than their non LGBTQ peers. The recent attempts to withhold rights from transgender students in multiple states is indicative of the struggles that LGBTQ youth face today. Without major changes to the current trends of anti-LGBTQ sentiments, youth will continue to suffer at home and in schools. Rates of LGBTQ youth homelessness will remain at high levels, the disproportionate suicide rate will not change, and youth will continue to feel unsafe at schools due to discrimination.
