The public comment period on the proposed revisions to the hazardous waste management program closed just before the end of 2015. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) proposed these regulations to ”address gaps in the regulations, provide greater flexibility for hazardous waste generators to manage their hazardous waste in a cost-effective and protective manner, and reorganize the hazardous waste generator regulations to make them more user-friendly and thus improve their usability by the regulated community.” The regulations will likely have some impact on all regulated classes of hazardous waste generators.
