Setting a $100 Price on Carbon

Based on work with over 70 companies that have already internalized a price on carbon, the UN Global Compact believes that $100 is the minimum price needed to spur innovation, unlock investment, and shift market signals to ultimately reduce global greenhouse gas emissions in line with the 1.5 to 2-degree Celsius target.

Low Risk, Not No Risk

It can be an overwhelming job to manage EHS issues, as successful organizations increasingly operate many different types of facilities all over the world. These include what we would call “low-risk” facilities, such as offices, labs, data centers, warehouses, and retail stores.

And while these facilities are obviously lower risk than their manufacturing or industrial counterparts, they are not “no risk” and must be managed accordingly to ensure employee safety and productivity, meet employee and customer expectations, and protect against brand reputation threats.
