Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), la principal empresa de medios de comunicación al servicio de la comunidad hispana en los Estados Unidos, lanzó hoy el programa de voluntariado de empleados Yo Soy Univision Contigo con una semana nacional de servicio comunitario, una celebración de toda la empresa respecto a la misión de UCI de empoderar a comunidades en todo el país. Desde San Antonio hasta Raleigh y desde Nueva York hasta Fresno, los empleados de Univision trabajarán como voluntarios toda la semana en proyectos de servicio comunitario en escuelas, hospitales pediátricos, albergues y bibliotecas, entre otros lugares.

Univision Launches Employee Volunteer Program with National Week of Service

Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America, today launched the Yo Soy Univision Contigo (I Am Univision Contigo) employee volunteer initiative with a national week of service, a companywide celebration of UCI’s mission to empower communities across the country. From San Antonio to Raleigh and New York to Fresno, Univision employees will volunteer at community service projects at schools, children’s hospitals, shelters, and libraries, among other locations throughout the week.

In Honor of Earth Day, National Geographic's Ford Cochran Takes Fox Colleagues on a Virtual Tour Through America's National Parks

As part of 21st Century Fox's Earth Day celebrations, Fox colleagues in LA were treated to a special presentation by Ford Cochran, renowned geologist, journalist, educator and director of programming at National Geographic Expeditions. Cochran, who has dedicated his career to the exploration and protection of parks, took attendees on a visual journey through some of the United States' most iconic national parks, accompanied by the stunning photography for which National Geographic is known. National Geographic is currently running its Power of Parks campaign, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the National Park Service.

The Safer Choice Partner of the Year Award recognizes businesses and organizations that advance the goal of chemical safety through exemplary participation in or promotion of the Safer Choice Program. Albertsons was recognized in the “Retailer” category and displays the Safer Choice logo on its Bright Green line of earth-friendlier private-label products as well as promotes the Safer Choice Program in stores, advertising and online messaging.

In honor of Earth Day, and to commemorate the twentieth anniversary of Fox's "Independence Day," Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has partnered with Earth Day Network and Google Play to offer fans a Digital HD download of the sci-fi classic for only $.99 between Friday, April 22, and Monday, April 25. Fox's proceeds will benefit Earth Day Network's Trees for the Earth initiative, which aims to plant 7.8 billion trees over the next five years.
