General Motors is turning its employees’ recycled water bottles into a new life: noise-reducing fabric insulation that covers the Chevrolet Equinox engine. The bottles – collected from five of its Michigan facilities – are also being turned into air filtration components and insulation in coats for the homeless community.

Sodexo, world leader in Quality of Life Services, celebrated the successful 20th year of employees impacting hunger issues in communities across North America in April. Its annual Stop Hunger Servathon, a month-long, global effort, drew to a close last week. Every year during the month of April, Sodexo employees, clients, customers and local stakeholders join forces to fight hunger and raise awareness about related health and nutrition issues. Results for the worldwide effort will be announced in June.
