SAP at COP28 - Harness the Power of Business for Climate Action

The 28th United Nations Climate Change conference (COP28), taking place November 30 - December 12, 2023, in Dubai, will be a milestone moment, reporting on the official stock take of progress made since the Paris Agreement and what is needed to close the gaps by 2030. Solving the world’s sustainability challenges has never been more critical to our planet and those of us who inhabit it. It is the core issue for business today, as entire industries transform, and companies of all sizes are forced to reinvent themselves for a new, net-zero world.  As part of this transformation, businesses can make a significant impact by doing three things right away. First, begin treating carbon like money, accounting for emissions with the same precision as finances. Second, collaborate across supply chains and partner networks to share data and advocate for ambitious policy action. And third, support local initiatives to help people and communities adapt to the effects of climate change and progress social causes.
