BACARDÍ® Rum to Host United for Puerto Rico Concert & Telethon
Family-owned Bacardi is pleased to announce its BACARDÍ rum facility will play host to the United for Puerto Rico live concert and telethon on Sunday, December 10. All proceeds from the fundraising initiative will go directly to organizations benefiting Puerto Ricans impacted by the devastation caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria.

Casa BACARDÍ Visitor Center Re-Opens in Puerto Rico
Casa BACARDÍ Puerto Rico has been welcoming visitors since 1961. During the weeks following Hurricane Maria, the visitor center was temporarily closed as its staff remained focused on providing relief to the community as part of the “Bacardi Contigo” (Bacardi is With You) initiative.

As part of the Bacardi ongoing commitment to Puerto Rico relief and rebuilding efforts, $5 of each tour admission will be donated to relief organizations, through the end of the year.

Bacardi Helps with Puerto Rico Recovery as It Opens First “Stop & Go” Community Relief Center
Bacardi opened its first “Emergency Stop & Go” community relief center in Cataño, Puerto Rico, on October 2. The center provides a safe place for those in the neighboring communities to the BACARDI rum facility to come daily for food, water, medical care, government services and activities.

Bacardi, Sus Marcas y Socios Distribuyen $215,000 USD a la Cruz Roja, UNICEF, Construyendo y Otras Organizaciones en México
Como parte de su compromiso con la ayuda en desastres, Bacardi brindará fondos para alivio inmediato y reconstrucción a largo plazo a organizaciones no gubernamentales que están trabajando para restaurar algún sentido de normalidad en las zonas afectadas. Bacardi donará un total de US$100,000 para labores de asistencia a los damnificados. La mitad de esta aportación está siendo entregada a la Cruz Roja y UNICEF ($25,000 USD a cada uno), mientras que los otros $50,000 USD se donarán a otras organizaciones enfocadas en la reconstrucción.

TIDAL X: Brooklyn is sponsored by Bacardi, and the rum brand is donating $1.3 million to the charities supported by the festival. Together, they are also assisting Governor Andrew M. Cuomo’s Empire State Relief and Recovery Effort for Puerto Rico by paying for the cost of cargo planes delivering donated goods to the island, from clothing to food to toiletries.
