Bacardi Embraces Sustainability Practices at Bottling Facility

The Bacardi Bottling Corporation in Jacksonville, Fla., shows how business and conservation can work together for the benefit of humans, animals, and the environment. Its Good Spirited programs for sustainability have led to a 35-ton reduction of landfill discards and cutting down carbon emissions by 90%. The plant’s ongoing wildlife efforts include a pollinator garden, increasing its size by 22 acres with native plants, and erecting bat houses. Through reducing energy and water use and recycling 94% of its waste, Bacardi Bottling Corporation upholds its responsibility to protect biodiversity with its daily operations.
