Wendy’s Wouldn’t Be Wendy’s Without Franchising

The franchise business model has been around for decades and generally allows entrepreneurs to purchase an agreement or license to market a product or service while using the trademark of a larger company. Of the 6,500 restaurants in the Wendy’s system, only about 400 are currently owned by The Wendy’s Company. The majority are owned and operated by Wendy’s franchisees: small business owners who are working hard to grow the economy, create jobs, and give something back to their local communities.

Pipeline Remediation Portfolio Management for a Global Oil and Gas Company

Antea Group was contracted by the owner/operator of a 400-mile interstate pipeline system to manage legacy environmental liabilities, and provide ongoing environmental support for active pipeline operations. The pipeline runs along a 299-mile corridor from Washington to Oregon transporting 1.3 billion gallons of refined petroleum products annually to terminals located at Seattle's Harbor Island, Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, and Portland Oregon. The legacy liabilities are located along the pipeline right-of-way, and at operating pipeline delivery, distribution and bulk storage facilities.

Environmental Liability Transfer for a Global Oil and Gas Company

As a solution to an integrated oil client’s liability reduction goals, Antea Group executed a liability transfer contract for the known and unknown pre-existing environmental liability for a portfolio of 146 active retail fuel outlets in the Mid-Atlantic. Of the 146 facilities, 38 had active incidents being managed by others at the time of the liability transfer.
