Harnessing the Value of the Employee Resource Group

The best part of the corporate social engagement process is its people. Especially those who are our evangelist to share, describe and empower social impact and its key factors to demonstrate the ongoing commitment to social missions and local needs. For Wurst and countless others, the key to fulfillment is simple: Pursuing their dreams while helping others find theirs, no matter what obstacles—mental or physical—might stand in the way. But even as women have outperformed their male counterparts in the same school subjects and despite filling 47 percent of jobs in the economy, women made up less than one quarter—24 percent—of science, technology, engineering and mathematics-based (STEM) roles.
