Harvesting Rainwater, Serving Meals to Children and More Social Sustainability in India

In the midst of a water crisis in India – where 77 million people don't have access to safe drinking water – the Green Team at the Ingersoll Rand Sahibabad facility built a rainwater harvesting system to collect and filter rainwater before putting it back into the water table. This restores about 1.2 million gallons of rainwater annually, offsetting 75 percent of the water the plant uses in its operations. In addition, the Green Team reduced the facility's water consumption by 43 percent by implementing standard work and making important upgrades to its wastewater treatment plants.

Wells Fargo & Company y Scholarship America (en inglés) anunciaron que están aceptando solicitudes para el Programa de Becas para Veteranos de Wells Fargo y el Programa de Subvenciones de Emergencia para Veteranos de Wells Fargo de 2018. En 2016, Wells Fargo consignó $2 millones durante un período de cuatro años para financiar los programas y ayudar a los veteranos y cónyuges de veteranos con discapacidades a alcanzar el éxito en las carreras que elijan. Wells Fargo Invites Veterans to Apply for Veteran Scholarships, Emergency Grants

Wells Fargo & Company and Scholarship America announced they are accepting applications for the 2018 Wells Fargo Veterans Scholarship and Wells Fargo Veterans Emergency Grant Programs. In 2016, Wells Fargo committed $2 million over a four-year period to fund the programs and help veterans and spouses of veterans with disabilities succeed in careers they choose. Since the programs launched, 48 scholarships and 84 emergency grants have been awarded.

Arbor Day Foundation Awards Finalists Announced

The Arbor Day Foundation has announced finalists for its bi-annual recognition program with the winners to be announced prior to National Arbor Day on April 27, 2018. Since 1972, the Foundation has presented awards for work at the international, national, state, and community levels to recognize conservation efforts such as tree planting and care, Arbor Day celebrations, education, community projects, and roadside beautification.

Satisfy Your Appetite to Help: Dine Out for HIV/AIDS Care Spring 2018

Dining Out For Life® hosted by Subaru® is a restaurant-based event with a truly fulfilling call to action: Dine at one of the 3,000 participating restaurants in more than 60 cities across North America on Thursday, April 26, 2018 and that restaurant will donate a generous portion of the day’s proceeds to fund HIV/AIDS care, prevention, education, testing, counseling and other essential services in their city. An average of $4 million is raised annually – in the past ten years, Dining Out For Life has raised roughly $38 million for the wellness of those affected by HIV/AIDS.
