Bancalimentos, a social enterprise that exchanges recyclable goods for essential household goods with vulnerable rural populations in Boyaca, Colombia, joins Business Call to Action (BCtA) with a commitment to increase food security and generate sustainable incomes for 12,500 people by 2022. Established in 2015, Bancalimentos provides essential household goods such as food, medicine and agricultural inputs in exchange for household organic waste and recyclables.
Second Annual Stephen R. Kellert Biophilic Design Award Winners Announced
The International Living Future Institute (ILFI) honored the late scholar and Yale University social ecologist Stephen R. Kellert’s legacy with the second annual Biophilic Design Award last night at a special award ceremony hosted by Interface, Inc., at the 2018 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo. This year the award was presented to two outstanding projects: The VanDusen Botanical Garden Visitor Centre, and the Dixon Water Foundation Betty and Clint Josey Pavilion.

Subaru of America, Inc. today hosted a special kickoff event to celebrate the return of the Subaru Share the Love Event, the automaker’s annual philanthropic event aimed at supporting charities across the country. Employees at Subaru of America (SOA) headquarters in Camden, NJ partnered with the Food Bank of South Jersey to donate and pack a record-breaking 6,600 ‘KidzPacks,’ containing items that can produce up to four nutritionally-balanced meals and snacks for a child.
