JetBlue’s Soar with Reading® Initiative Lands in San Francisco and Oakland This Summer
JetBlue (Nasdaq: JBLU) today announced San Francisco and Oakland, Calif. as the next locations to receive free book vending machines as part of its annual Soar with Reading program. This award-winning literacy initiative tackles the issue of “book deserts” and provides access to age-appropriate books to children in underserved communities. To kick off the eighth year of Soar with Reading, JetBlue also announced a new partnership with Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing.

JetBlue Honors Public Servants For Inspiring Humanity®
JetBlue, New York’s Hometown Airline®, has a long history of supporting those who serve their communities. Today public servants from New York and abroad joined forces for a good cause. JetBlue and the British Metropolitan Police Department partnered for their eighth annual plane pull at New York’s JFK Airport. “Bobbies” from London’s police department competed against teams including JetBlue crewmembers and members from local authorities including the NYPD and FDNY to raise funds for childhood cancer research.

JetBlue Launching Flight Plans for High School Students
JetBlue recently we welcomed more than 40 high school students from across the U.S. to New York’s JFK Airport to learn what it takes to pursue a career in aviation. The event was part of the New York Student Aviation Expedition, an experiential learning trip organized by the Aviation Community Foundation to inspire students and launch their career paths.

JetBlue (NASDAQ: JBLU) today announced the latest round of grants provided by the JetBlue Foundation, an education-focused entity which furthers the airline’s effort to place aviation top-of-mind as a career choice for students. The JetBlue Foundation will help fuel six aviation programs with $162,000 in grants for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) based initiatives.
