Corporate Matching: Observing the Multiplier Effect

It has long been acknowledged that one of the most powerful ways to get people more engaged in giving programs is to match individual donations with company dollars. So it’s easy to see why roughly 65% (and growing) of Fortune 1000 companies employ a strategy of donation matching. Even better, as employees become more engaged in their giving programs they also become more engaged in the workplace overall. Given that the potential impact is huge, how do you foster even greater engagement? Here are a few suggestions.

Shoes were laced, teams were formed, bases were loaded and the competition was on. Nearly 400 people filled the fields for the annual Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption’s Kickball for a Home Tournament and it was a homerun.

On April 26, 21st Century Fox welcomed some of the top students from New York's Ghetto Film School onto the Fox Studios lot in Los Angeles for a day of workshops and masterclass conversations company leaders. Angela Courtin, Chief Marketing Officer at FOX Broadcasting, and Phoebe Tisdale-Andrews, VP of Production, spoke to the young filmmakers about their journeys into the entertainment industry, as well as how they see the business changing over time. Ghetto Film School teaches filmmaking to young people from communities traditionally underrepresented in Hollywood, and 21CF is the founding sponsor of its Los Angeles program.
