Carnival Cruise Line’s Comedy Benefit at Fort Lauderdale Improv Raises More Than $12,000 for Kids in Distress of Broward and Palm Beach Counties

The Fort Lauderdale Improv was recently transformed into Carnival’s Punchliner Comedy Club – for one night, at least – as part of a special fundraiser that generated more than $12,000 for Kids in Distress of Broward and Palm Beach Counties – a 20 percent increase over the amount raised at last year’s event.

Building Young Futures, a partnership programme between UNICEF UK and Barclays, has reached more than 90,000 young people across six countries. Over three years, the programme has helped to create 11,000 new businesses and has delivered sustainable long term change for young people. According to an independent evaluation of the programme by C&E Advisory, “Building Young Futures has been highly effective in achieving impact at scale and in depth.”

TD Securities is joint-lead underwriter of a C$500-million five-year Climate Awareness Bond (CAB) issued by the European Investment Bank (EIB).
