As the Airline Fire raged along Coalinga Hernandez Road and Airline Highway in San Benito County in early June, Paige Adam, 24, was part of the Camarillo 22 fire crew. For one week, she worked the fire, line-cutting, doing hose lays and conducting mop-up procedures in 24-hour shifts.

This year, The Wendy’s Company Annual Frosty 5K raised $110,000 for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The event was held on July 15 in Columbus, Ohio and had more than 800 participants. The race started and ended downtown at Huntington Park, home of the Columbus Clippers. Runners and walkers took the course through downtown, across the Scioto Mile and finished in the outfield of the minor-league stadium.

Holland America Line President Orlando Ashford participated in the first-ever ESPN | Special Olympics Unified Sports Challenge, held Sunday, July 1, 2018, at the University of Washington’s Husky Ballpark.
