Hilary Swank Brings Second 'All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration' to FOX for Thanksgiving

For the second year in a row, FOX dedicated its primetime Thanksgiving Day broadcast to the All-Star Dog Rescue Celebration, a two-hour television special honoring select organizations and everyday citizens who are on the frontlines of the animal rescue movement. Top talent from the worlds of music, film, and television gathered to celebrate those who save, care for, and find loving homes for the more than eight million animals that enter shelters each year. Michael Levitt and two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank produced the special, which was hosted by actor and animal activist Kaley Cuoco.

A New Approach to Care for Diabetes in Pregnancy Aims to Improve the Health of Mothers & Newborns

Many people have heard of type 1 and type 2 diabetes – but few are aware that there is another kind of diabetes that can develop during pregnancy called gestational diabetes.

To tackle the problem of gestational diabetes, a unique partnership between the International Diabetes Federation, the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF) and the Abbott Fund created a new model of care to improve the awareness, diagnosis and management of gestational diabetes.

Nat Geo WILD Celebrates 'Big Cat Week' with Special Programming, Calls to Action

Beginning Friday, November 27, Nat Geo WILD presented its sixth annual Big Cat Week, a block of special programming dedicated to raising awareness of the threats facing the global populations of lions, tigers, cheetahs, panthers, and more. This year's Big Cat Week was the biggest in the channel's history, including the premieres of five brand new specials and three nights of live African safaris. The program also saw the return of the Cause an Uproar campaign, a call to action for those interested in supporting the National Geographic Society's conservation work with big cat populations. Nat Geo WILD is part of the Fox Networks Group, which is owned by 21st Century Fox.
