That’s why we have created the Hurricane Area Store Locator to help those impacted identify open businesses in affected areas providing necessities such as groceries, gas, hardware or lodging.

Albertsons Companies has a long history of helping cities recover from disasters, such as the recent hurricanes that hit Texas and Florida. In recognition of this commitment, Albertsons Companies was nominated as a finalist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation's Corporate Citizenship Awards for its disaster relief and outreach efforts during Louisiana's devastating floods last year. The Corporate Citizenship winners will be announced in November 2017.

Mohawk Industries and Nature’s Big Springs Water teamed up to donate and deliver more than 100,000 bottles of water to the Houston area. They split the cost of the water and will leverage Mohawk’s fleet to make the delivery once the roads are passable.

We continue to be concerned about the severe weather developing during this year’s Atlantic hurricane season. As Hurricane Irma approaches Florida, and other strong systems develop in the Atlantic, the Qualcomm Foundation is donating $1 million to the Center for Disaster Philanthropy for long-term recovery efforts. This funding is in addition to the $1 million Qualcomm Incorporated recently pledged towards Hurricane Harvey relief and recovery.

Net Impact and Samsung Electronics America, Inc. has announced a donation of $70,000 to Feeding America in Support of National Hunger Action Day. The “Small Change, Big Effect” 30-day fundraising campaign launched on August 3, 2017 with an event at Samsung 837 in New York City.

AEG’s LA Kings and Kings Care Foundation partnered with Hydrocephalus Association (HA) for the 4th year to host joint 5K/10K races and a fundraising walk on Saturday, Sept. 9. Through aligning efforts, the events raised nearly $1 million in support of research since 2014 including more than $200,000 this past weekend.
