When Grayson Fast, a student at Horizon Middle School in Aurora, CO, first started working on a school project aimed at designing an artificial limb for a local military veteran, she knew it would have a significant impact on the recipient’s life – but she didn’t realize it would gain national attention and alter the future of custom prosthetics for people with disabilities.

This National Hispanic Heritage Month is a chance to learn more about the contributions that Hispanic and Latino Americans have made to our country — and about the contributions they’re poised to make in the future.

The FCA Foundation, the charitable arm of North American automaker FCA US LLC, today announced six grants, totaling nearly $900,000, to support academic and nonprofit organizations across the United States that help students – pre-K through post-secondary – build the skills and competencies that support student achievement. CITGO Lake Charles looks for opportunities to award deserving local students for academic excellence and recently awarded $5,000 in scholarship funds to McNeese State University Business students. The MSU business scholarship recipients each received a $1,000 scholarship towards their college education – a share of the $5,000 scholarship funds that CITGO awards to Business students annually.
