Building on three years of successful hands-on STEM camps, this summer the Qualcomm® Thinkabit Lab™ continues to grow, with a total of 10 one-week-long camps in San Diego, the DC Metro Area and China. The JetBlue Scholars program demystifies higher education pathways and offers those with previous credit a way to earn a college degree at their own pace. Better still, JetBlue covers most of the cost – crewmembers are only responsible for a maximum of $3,500.



Cox Enterprises announced today the Jim Kennedy Scholarship Fund recipients. The fund supports children of Cox employees and annually awards ten, $10,000 scholarships.

In May, Sands China Academy hosted a graduation ceremony for the 111 Macao university students who completed Sands China’s Integrated Resort Internship Program. Sands China celebrated the students’ achievements and three graduates were presented with an “Impressive Performance Award” with a limited-edition souvenir by their department heads as a token of recognition for their exceptional performance.

As the school year wraps up, local partners are looking ahead with a focus on practical solutions to help close the achievement gap and prepare the future workforce. Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) and AchieveMpls, in partnership with the Cargill Foundation, today announced a major three-year investment of $4 million for MPS Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID); Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) programs; and AchieveMpls Career & College Centers in MPS high schools. The grant will provide critical support for student academic success and career and college readiness through 2020.
