Thirty high school seniors in Southern California Edison’s service area have been named 2021 Edison Scholars and will be awarded $1.2 million in scholarships by Edison International to pursue science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) studies.

Stephen Curry’s Custom 'Moon Landing' Shoes Help Raise $58,100 on eBay to Bring STEM Initiatives to San Francisco Bay Area Schools

A pair of $58,100 shoes are helping bring new STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education resources to Bay Area teachers today. The Stephen and Ayesha Curry Family Foundation and DonorsChoose.org hosted a special charitable campaign on eBay this January, auctioning off a pair of custom, game-worn “Moon Landing” Under Armour Curry 6 basketball shoes.

In 2016, Wells Fargo committed $2 million over a four-year period to fund the programs and assist veterans and spouses of veterans with disabilities succeed in getting the education they need for careers they choose.

Edison Scholars Program Will Issue $1.2M in Scholarships for STEM Students

High school seniors can now apply for the $40,000 Edison Scholars college scholarships. Edison International is awarding $1.2 million in scholarships to 30 high school seniors to help them follow their dreams in STEM (science, technology, engineering or math) and empower them to change the world. Deadline to apply is Dec. 14.

Partners In Preservation: Main Streets Awards $2 Million in Preservation Grants to Sites Reflecting America’s Diverse History

Today, American Express, the National Trust for Historic Preservation and Main Street America announced the winners of the 2018 Partners in Preservation: Main Streets campaign. The 11 winning historic sites will receive a total of $1.6 million in grants to fund their respective preservation projects. At the outset of the campaign, an additional $400,000 was allocated to the 20 Main Street communities that participated in the program to increase public awareness of the importance of these historic places and build grassroots support for the participating Main Street districts.
