National Grid at Center for Climate and Energy Solutions Report Launch

Patty DiOrio, VP of US Strategy, National Grid, appeared as a speaker on a panel hosted/moderated by the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions (C2ES) to briefly discuss Climate Innovation 2050 repository, which produced three alternative scenarios for achieving an 80 percent reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2050. Her participation mainly highlighted National Grid’s efforts to assess and advance long-term climate goals (Northeast 80x50 Pathway and internal GHG targets) for the power, transportation and heating sectors.

LA Galaxy to Host Sixth Annual Pride Night

AEG’s LA Galaxy will host their sixth annual Pride Night, one of the longest-running Pride Nights in professional sports, on Sunday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. PT when the club hosts New England Revolution at Dignity Health Sports Park in a match presented by Spectrum SportsNet. The Galaxy will partner with the Los Angeles LGBT Center, the world’s largest LGBT organization, as part of its 50th anniversary celebration.

With over 3,000 attendees representing a mix of entrepreneurs, start-ups, non-profits, and brand managers of large companies, it was an inspiring and refreshing experience.

Exploring the Second Track at the Reporting 3.0 Conference: The Journey

Following up on the previous release on The Village track at the 6th International Reporting 3.0 Conference, this release focuses on laying out the second track, The Journey. This track is dedicated to the Transformation Journey Program (TJP) that took place over the past half-year at ING in Amsterdam, John Hancock / Manulife in Boston, and Erasmus University in Rotterdam, with a 2-day workshop on each of the following four phases: The Basecamp, Planning the Route, The Climb, and The Mountain Top. Participants from high-impact organizations in all of these Programs will share their experiences, particularly elaborating on specific pilot implementations of transformational practices, programs, and policies.

Aflac Awarded Gold at REGGIE Awards in Brand Purpose category

On May 15 in Orlando, Florida, Aflac took home a Gold REGGIE Award from the Association of National Advertisers in the ANA Center for Brand Purpose category. The award entry focused on their childhood cancer campaign initiatives in 2018, largely supported by My Special Aflac Duck®. Nearly 70 awards were presented to top agencies and brands for the best brand activation marketing campaigns of 2018 across more than 20 categories.
