Neil deGrasse Tyson's Science Talk Show 'StarTalk' Returns for New Season on Nat Geo Channel

Following a successful first season and an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Informational Series, Neil deGrasse Tyson's science-focused talk show StarTalk returned for its second season on 21st Century Fox's National Geographic Channel on Sunday, October 25. The series, based on Tyson's popular radio show and podcast of the same name, features comedians, academics, and celebrity guests such as President Bill Clinton, Susan Sarandon, and Seth MacFarlane in conversation with Tyson about how science affects their lives and careers. StarTalk airs at 11/10c on Sundays on National Geographic Channel.

Caterpillar Commits to Energy Access for Rural Indonesian Islands

The “500 Island Project” between Caterpillar, Fluidic and Indonesia's PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), will provide electricity to more than 1.5 million people which we believe would be considered one of the most ambitious rural electrification projects in the world, and will help the Indonesian Government achieve its ambitious rural electrification targets faster than otherwise possible.

In celebration of Pro Bono Week, Taproot Foundation announces that the 2015 standard for the value of pro bono service has increased 25% to $150 per hour. The $150 valuation defines the average, per hour value of time donated by business professionals to nonprofit organizations through pro bono services including expertise in marketing, strategic planning, HR, and IT. This study was developed in partnership with CECP, a coalition of 150 CEOs of the world’s largest companies focused on societal engagement, and is based on an analysis of data included in the 2015 Salary Guides produced annually by professional staffing firm Robert Half.
