Partners in Purpose: Consumers Energy Supports the Robotics Revolution

This past weekend, Consumers Energy sponsored the FIRST Championship for high school robotics teams across the world. The competition was held in Michigan, with 90 local teams participating - more than any other state! By supporting events like the FIRST Championship, Consumers Energy hopes to advance the development of skills employers in the area need, from manufacturing and engineering to marketing and communications.

eBay Publishes Annual Impact Progress Update, Including Renewable Energy Milestone and New Carbon Target
eBay released its 2018 Impact Progress Update, an annual report on the company’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) framework, policies and programs. The Progress Update shows not only how eBay manages its own impacts, but also the positive impact that emerges when people use eBay’s technology and resources. Anchoring the Progress Update are details on eBay’s environmental footprint and progress against each of eBay’s five existing impact goals. This year, we also announced a sixth goal within our Progress Update, aimed at reducing the company’s carbon emissions.

Building A Stronger Community Food System in North Minneapolis
General Mills is committed to ensuring our hometown communities are food secure by supporting vibrant community food systems. That’s why we partnered with Greater Twin Cities United Way to launch the Full Lives Program, which supports a healthy and equitable community food system by increasing food access in North Minneapolis. A $1 million philanthropic grant from the General Mills Foundation enabled 14 projects across 11 organizations to increase the strength of the North Minneapolis community food system as a whole.

Michael B. Jordan Wins $100,000 for Feeding America as Honey Nut Cheerios' Good Rewards Comes to a Close

Honey Nut Cheerios has crowned the winner of its first-ever Good Rewards program, with Michael B. Jordan claiming the top prize of $100,000 on behalf of Feeding America, the nation's largest domestic hunger relief organization leading the charge to help end hunger in our country. The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) received $50,000, and the Gronk Nation Youth Foundation received $25,000 as the second and third place charity beneficiaries of Good Rewards.
