International Well Building Institute™ Announces First Well Certified™ Project in New York City
The International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI™) today marks a new milestone in the development, growth and expansion of its WELL Certification program as the first project in New York achieves WELL Certification under v1 of the WELL Building Standard™ (WELL™). This prestigious distinction was awarded to Structure Tone’s recently opened New York City headquarters at 330 West 34th Street in Manhattan, which has achieved WELL Certification at the Silver level. WELL is the first building standard to focus exclusively on enhancing people’s health and wellness through the built environment.

Sweden Green Building Council and International WELL Building Institute™ Join Forces to Advance Health in Buildings
The International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI™) and the Sweden Green Building Council today announced their intent to collaborate on the advancement of practices that improve human health and well-being in buildings and communities. The goal is to promote the successful adoption of IWBI’s WELL Building Standard™ (WELL), a performance-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring features of the built environment that impact the health and well-being of the people who live, work, and learn in the buildings.

International WELL Building Institute™ To Lead Consortium Developing Global Set of Standards for Indoor and Outdoor Environmental Quality Monitoring Systems and Sensors
The International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI™), along with RESET™, the Building Research Establishment (BRE) and the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) today announced a joint agreement to work together to develop a coordinated set of global standards and guidelines for indoor and outdoor environmental monitoring systems and sensors.

WELL Community Standard™ Taking Shape
The International WELL Building Institute™ (IWBI™) today reported on the progress of development of the WELL Community StandardTM, noting that its Working Group Members and contributors are providing the kind of industry perspective that bodes well for the standard’s global uptake. The WELL Community StandardTM will be a district-scale rating system centered exclusively on health and wellness and aims to set a new global benchmark for healthy communities. The pilot is planned to be launched later this year.
