At BJ’s, what we don’t sell, we share. Under BJ's Feeding Communities Program, BJ's Clubs donate millions of pounds of food each year — including fresh produce, baked goods, frozen meats and fish, and dairy — to help support 45 food banks in the 15 states BJ’s serves.

ADDITIONAL EFFORTS TO HELP RELIEVE HUNGER IN THE COMMUNITIES BJ'S SERVES

In addition to BJ’s Feeding Communities Program, BJ’s recent efforts to help alleviate hunger in the communities we serve include:

  • BJ’s Charitable Foundation Grants: Since the foundation's inception, $2,850,074 in grants has provided support to 363 local hunger-relief agencies and programs.

St. Vincent De Paul Parish Partners with BJ’s Wholesale Club to Donate 400 Turkeys this Thanksgiving Season
This November, 400 families will receive a turkey and all the trimmings for their Thanksgiving meal, thanks to the generous donation provided by St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore’s Parish Conference at Immaculate Conception-St. Cecilia and the BJ’s Wholesale Clubs in Baltimore, Canton and Owings Mills. Earlier today, BJ’s presented a check to St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore to help families in need just in time for Thanksgiving

To help provide more meals to homebound seniors struggling with hunger and isolation, BJ’s Wholesale Club announces today that it has become the first warehouse club charitable partner supporting Meals on Wheels America.

BJ’s Charitable Foundation Helps Local Hunger-Relief Agencies Feed More Families
In honor of Hunger Action MonthTM, BJ’s Charitable Foundation announces today that it will provide grants to Feeding America® and 21 member food banks totaling $600,000. Grants will support capacity building, food safety training and transportation costs for its local agencies, shelters, food pantries and other feeding programs. After helping to expand capacity in 2014 for more than 400 feeding pantries and programs that resulted in over 10 million more pounds of food to be donated, BJ’s Charitable Foundation will invest additional funding this year to further prevent a bottleneck in the supply chain for food distribution to Americans facing hunger.
