Morgan Stanley (NYSE: MS) today announced New Orleans as its eighth Healthy Cities location and officially kicked off the program with a playground build at Lake Forest Charter School. Working with Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans, the program aims to provide over 1,000 children in need and their families with more than 600,000 healthy meals, 1,800 medical screenings, expanded nutrition education programs, and safe play spaces.

In spite of my fear, I am making it known publicly today, that I’m facing my fear of heights in honor of those fighting cancer. On September 10th Team LIVESTRONG and I are rappelling down a 20 story building to raise money for LIVESTRONG’s free programs and services. We are literally going “over the edge” for cancer survivors.

GRI Launches Digital Reporting Alliance

19 May 2016, Amsterdam. Today, international sustainability standard setter GRI announced its newest technology initiative, the Digital Reporting Alliance, on the second day of the 5th GRI Global Conference. The Digital Reporting Alliance will address two key challenges in sustainability reporting: the lack of structured data and the lack of demand for digital reporting. The initiative will create the technical infrastructure for digital reporting by promoting an XBRL taxonomy and a platform for filing digital reports. The founding of the alliance coincides with the release of the first set of exposure drafts of GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards which are now available for public comment.
