Richland College, a two-year community college in Dallas, Texas, has been crowned the Grand Champion of the 2016 RecycleMania competition with a recycling rate of more than 82 percent. RecycleMania is the nation’s premier waste reduction and recycling competition among colleges and universities, managed by Keep America Beautiful.

At the Second Annual Social Good Awards Breakfast in New York City, Cynopsis Media recognized FOX Sports Supports as this year's "Social Good Shining Star," while awarding several honorable mentions to programming at National Geographic. The April 7th event honored the television industry's outstanding social responsibility initiatives, for which 21st Century Fox brands received seven nominations.

This year's class of Ghetto Film School Fellows recently screened the family drama they shot on location in Spain, "El Coche Rojo," at a Paley Center for Media event in New York sponsored by 21st Century Fox. To me, world travel is one of the most impactful learning experiences you can have during your formative years. When I was 16, I was lucky enough to travel with a group of fellow students to a remote island off the coast of Panama to help build a new school. To commemorate the series finale of FOX's groundbreaking reality series "American Idol," 21CF and the Give a Note Foundation announced a new wave of the 21st Century Fox Give a Note Grants, which will support up to 20 under-funded music education programs at schools across the United States. The company has worked with Give a Note since 2011, donating more than $1 million to nearly 90 schools in that time. The new grants honor the series' 15-season run, over the course of which it created some of music's biggest stars and inspired millions of young people to pursue music and get involved in their schools' arts programs.

Xploration Station, the country’s only E/I broadcast destination dedicated exclusively to STEM programming for teens and their families, announced the return of its #StudentAstronaut contest today. This will be the second iteration of the nationwide competition tied to the popular series Xploration Outer Space.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the nominees for the 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, and "Xploration Earth 2050" received two nominations, one for Outstanding Special Class Series and another for Outstanding Writing Special Class. The series, hosted by renowned artist and futurist Chuck Pell, is one of four shows comprising "Xploration Station," a two-hour blog of STEM-related programming airing on Saturday mornings on Fox TV stations.
