The UPS Foundation is working through public-private partnerships to provide immediate and long-term assistance to those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

In conjunction with AEG’s longstanding relationship with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and AEG’s core principles of public service, community outreach and volunteerism, more than 70 employees from AEG’s Los Angeles offices spent the day preparing food kits at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in Commerce, Calif. on Aug. 29.

Nestlé Waters North America has collaborated with relief organizations to donate more than 1.3 million bottles of water to those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Twenty-six truckloads – and counting – have delivered clean, safe bottled water to communities in Texas and Louisiana distributed by relief partners on the ground, including Americares, the American Red Cross, Gleaning For The World, Convoy of Hope and Feeding America.

The Taproot Foundation announces the global expansion of online pro bono matchmaking platform Taproot+ to Singapore in partnership with Empact Ltd. The pilot program will launch during Pro Bono Week, October 22 – 28, 2017. Taproot+ connects nonprofit and social change organizations with experts who are donating their skills and time pro bono.

The recognition was for the work done during the last more than three years through the Manos al Agua app, which manages relevant information that enables to monitor and control activities. The app gets real-time information on training and implementation activities on farms and in coffee river basins.

In celebration of Women’s Equality Day and the launch of AEG’s LA Galaxy Girls’ Academy, the LA Galaxy Foundation teamed up with LA Galaxy player Sebastian Lletget and international recording artist Becky G to host a SoulCycle Charity Ride on Aug. 25 in Manhattan Beach, Calif.

Republic Services loves to connect with customers and residents in the communities they feel fortunate to serve every day. Recently, Michigan-based residential driver Andy Lewis & Operation Supervisor Kunta Taylor made a surprise birthday visit to a young boy.

Republic Services recently supported the fourth annual “Childrenz Challenge”, founded by Scott Vitale in 2013, held at the Michigan International Speedway (MIS) in Brooklyn, MI. The mud-filled 20 obstacle course was designed for children ages 4-13. This year’s course, with the help of Republic Services, featured a 36 foot-long water slide that sent participants into a puddle of mud to cap off the course.
